Te Mana O Te Moana

The biologists of Te Mana O Te Moana are working to create a coral garden and a ray feeding area in

the largest lagoon of the InterContinental Resort and Thalasso Spa Bora Bora.

Educational guides will be available for visitors for a better understanding of the underwater world. More than 700 coral colonies were transplanted during March and April. Corals are in good health. Regular scientific monitoring will be conducted in order to study and observe transplanted corals. This area is now a habitat to more than 79 fish species and to a lot of invertebrates.

All Tahiti Legends clients receive a Citizen of the Ocean passport with their documentation and one year membership dues paid for by Tahiti Legends. Clients are welcome to attend any scheduled programs held by the organization during their stay in Moorea.

The English word "tattoo" comes from the Tahitian word "tatau", and Tahiti is often cited as the birthplace of tattoo.

Tattooing plays an integral part in Tahitian culture and Tahiti Legends was proud to showcase the art of Polynesian tattoo at the 6th annual Ink N Iron Tattoo Festival aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach June 5-7.

Special packages as well as portfolios by famed Polynesian tattoo artists such as Marama, Manu, and James Samuela were promoted by our team. Pictured to your right is a freehand design by Marama. Let The Travel Desk & Tahiti Legends pre-book appointments with your vacation.
