The Langham Auckland has opened the exquisite Chuan Spa, an opulent retreat destined to set a new benchmark in spa excellence for New Zealand.

Chuan Spa treatments and services restore balance and energy while promoting wellbeing, relaxation and fitness. Chuan Spa director, Ana Crawford, recently returned to New Zealand with a wealth of industry knowledge spanning over 11 years experience in the spa industry. Most recently she worked at a range of destination spa resorts and hotel spas, including the renowned Chiva-Som in Thailand. Ana has worked for the Paua Group in Hong Kong, directing both the Paua Spa at Centre Stage and The Victorian Spa at The Disneyland Hotel.
“I am delighted to bring my international experience to The Langham as we prepare to launch Chuan Spa,” says Ms Crawford.

Ms Crawford has spent the past two and a half years running spas in Hong Kong, where she was first introduced to Chuan Spa. She says the Chuan journey has not been seen before in New Zealand. Chuan is the Chinese word for ‘a serene coursing of water’ and in Chinese culture, flowing water is seen to be the source of life and balance.
The Langham Auckland – a five-star 410-room property with seven different room and suite categories – is one of only two New Zealand members of ‘Leading Hotels of the World’, an association representing the world’s finest five-star hotels.
The hotel is also home to Partingtons at The Langham, an award-winning fine-dining restaurant, and also The Winery (near the hotel lobby) with over 60 wines available by the glass. An array of variously sized function rooms and catering facilities can cater for any type of event. |
