I find words to describe French Polynesia simply unavailable. Over and over again I reach out to express my understanding of this destination and stop, and then say nothing. My eyes glass over, my smile breaks wide, and I begin to hear the slap of the water at the bottom of my bungalow, I see the moon light paint the sand a surreal white, and behold an inky black sky glittering with thousands upon thousands of stars all infused with the intoxicating smell of frangipani, bougainvillea, and vanilla.  

As a travel professional for the past 29 years I have experienced many beautiful destinations but none more over the top outrageous as Tahiti. Sublime, sensual, serene, tranquil, exotic, mesmerizing, and painfully beautiful, the five archipelagos of French Polynesia are all this and much much more. When asked when the best time to travel to Tahiti is I simply say, yes.
